Head-to-Head Rules
10 teams play each week in 5 head-to-head games |
We play a 22 week season |
6 teams make the playoffs: Each division winner plus the next two best records in each division. |
We play one week of Wild Card Playoffs: 2nd vs. 3rd place in each division (Baseball Week 23) |
We play one week of NLCS: Wild card winners vs.1st place team from each division (Baseball Week 24) |
We play a 2 week World Series: Division winners face off (up through Baseball Week 26) |

Scoring
When weekly stats come out, the weekly totals in each of the 10
categories will be compared for the two teams playing in a particular
head-to-head game. The team that
wins the most categories for that week “wins” the game. |
Example: Let’s say the weekly results in the 10 categories are
as follows: |
Team A: 10.0 7.5 6.5 8.0 11.0 10.0 10.5 9.5 8.0 10.5
Team B: 9.0 10.0 7.5 9.0 7.5 9.0 8.0 9.5 8.0 9.5
Comparing scores, Team A beats Team B in 5 categories, Team B beats Team A in 3 categories, and the teams tie in 2 categories. Final Score: 5 to 3 in favor of Team A. Thus, Team A gets a “W” for the week, and Team B gets an “L”.
In the event of a tie during a weekly game, the team with the most overall points that week gets the “W”. In the unlikely event that teams have the identical overall point totals for that week, then we declare a tie which counts as 1/2 a win for each player.
In the event that 2 teams are tied for
the final wild card spots at the end of the season, then the team with the
highest overall point total as of Baseball Week 21 become the wild card team.
